Kimutai has worked in Australia, Ethiopia, Rwanda and South Sudan. He joined EY in 2007 and spent 4 years in audit and advisory services thus acquiring in-depth knowledge of the various sectors of the economy including Financial and related services, Industrial and Allied services, Hospitality and related industry and Non-Government Organisations. He later joined Sanlam Life Insurance Limited in 2011 in middle level management and rose to become the head of finance.
